”Den of Thieves” is the first bar- shaped design in the Silver Shield collection.
The obverse features a symmetrical view of the facade of the Federal Reserve building. It is interesting that the design is so symmetrical even though the institution is predicated on an imbalance in the monetary system.
This one building is the centre of the US economic structure, and even its very name is misleading, since it is a private institution that has shareholders, member banks and all the trappings of a bank, but a power reserved constitutionally by Congress.
On the bottom are the words "Not Federal * No Reserves”, signifying its private ownership and lack of tangible wealth.
The reverse features three overlapping circles, each with hands depicting different manual labors. Two hands in the top circle are clasped in a handshake, typifying friendship ("real friends"). The bottom right circle portrays a hand and a wrench epitomizing skills ("real skills"). The last circle features a hand with a sapling to portray tangible wealth ("real wealth"). This is the antithesis to the Federal Reserve paradigm.
The words "Silver Shield Friends Skills Wealth" are engraved above and the words "1 Troy Ounce 999 Pure Silver" are engraved below.
